Directions

It’s not complicated!

From the Park

We are located about 5 miles west of West Yellowstone and about a hundred yards west from the south fork of the Madison River. The Moose Bunkhouse is nestled about a hundred yards off of Interstate 20 on Mooseberry Road. First time, and repeat, visitors should be prepared for a quick turn off of I-20 as you can easily overshoot it from both directions (trust me on this).

From the East

If you are coming from Bozeman or the West Yellowstone Airport, you will head south on US 191 towards West Yellowstone. The first major intersection (signal light) in West Yellowstone you come to is I-20, turn right. If you are coming from the park entrance, you will head north on US 191 and take a left onto I-20 (about 3 signal lights once you are on US 191). Head west on I-20 for 5 miles, you will know you are real close once you cross the Madison River (it’s obvious). Turn left onto Mosseberry Road, The Moose Bunkhouse is on the left.

From the West

If you are coming from Idaho Falls, Ashton, or from the west you will take I-20 to Mooseberry Road. Mooseberry Road is roughly 4 miles from the Idaho Montana state line. You’ll know you’re close once you pass the state line, pass a very large meadow normally corralling a large number of horses, and enter a wooded section of I-20. Turn right onto Mosseberry Road, The Moose Bunkhouse is on the left.

Looking forward to your visit!
